Take Action:

Join the efforts of IIPDW and the Antidepressant Coalition for Education (ACE), and submit your report to the FDA’s MedWatch today.

The IIPDW recently submitted a formal comment in support of the petition raised by the Antidepressant Coalition for Education.

The petition has been sent to the FDA (Federal Drug Administration) in the US, calling for stronger warnings and safer tapering guidance for SSRIs and SNRI antidepressants.

We would like to call upon our global network and anyone who believes in IIPDW’s aims and vision to consider supporting this petition. The main aim of the petition is to pressure the FDA into demanding of the pharmaceutical industry more accurate labelling about withdrawal effects.

In 2017 the Benzodiazepine Information Coalition carried out a similar campaign, which successfully contributed to the FDA issuing a boxed warning for benzos in 2020.

ACE is asking everyone harmed by SSRI and SNRI withdrawal to submit a report to FDA MedWatch.

For anyone not personally harmed, but wishing to support this campaign, you can comment publicly (here) either as an individual or as an organisation.

Please take the time, if you can, wherever you are based in the world, to support this petition, as we believe that if the FDA makes the required changes, this will have an impact on SSRI and SNRI labelling worldwide.
